Course overview
Applying the Five Disciplines is a two-week applied micro-course on the five disciplines of the learning organization. It teaches a single, practical method: taking a persistent problem you are responsible for, seeing the structure that produces it, surfacing the mental models that hide it, and integrating systems thinking with personal mastery, shared vision, and team learning to design a leveraged intervention that changes the cause rather than the symptom.
No prior study of systems theory is assumed. By the end of the two weeks, you will be able to diagnose the systemic root cause of a persistent problem and design an intervention that builds an adaptive, continuously improving organization — and defend every choice in how you built it.
